Özet
This study aims to scrutinize evolution
education studies through multiple parameters, including the pedagogical
approaches offered, their theoretical foundations, modes of dissemination, and
potential epistemological implications. To achieve this, the study adopts a
robust and multidisciplinary framework, drawing on realist epistemology
(Matthews, 2015), legal and political analyses of anti-evolution discourse
(Haarscher, 2009), and sociological perspectives on science (Gingras, 2017).
Analytical concepts such as obscurantism, pseudo-argument, and bullshit (Bien,
2021; Moberger, 2020) are employed, while ethical and ideological dimensions
are informed by Horchani (2025), McCarthy (2018), Bains (2011), Haydon et al.
(2021), and Gingras (2019).
