In this case report, inguinal hernia of gravid uterus in two bitches and treatment approach were presented. Thirty and 45 days pregnant bitches had inguinal and perivulvar swelling but otherwise healthy. After a diagnosis based on a physical and ultrasonographic examinations, surgical repair was decided. During the surgeries, it was observed that uterus was not reducible into normal position. Therefore hernia rings were incised, uterus was placed into normal location and then ovariohysterectomy was also performed in both cases. In case 1, interplacental region of the uterus was narrower and in both cases some of the fetuses were resorbed. Consequently, surgical treatment of inguinal hernia of gravid uterus in the dog together with ovariohysterectomy may be beneficial.
