Abstract

Background: Serious postoperative complications such as leakage, bleeding, or gastric obstruction may occur in laparoscopic sleeve gastrectomy (LSG). There is no ideal method or technique to avoid these mishaps. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the effectiveness of modified omentopexy (MOP) added to LSG in reducing postoperative complications.
