Abstract

This study was designed to determine the effect of workers' workplace loneliness on job and life satisfaction and mediating role of leader-member exchange among these variables. In accordance with this aim, sample of this research consisted of 153 administrative personnel of Hitit University. As a result of the study, it was determined that workplace loneliness negatively affected the leader-member exchange and job and life satisfaction. Moreover, hierarchical regression analysis was carried out in order to identify whether there was an mediating role of leader-member exchange job and life satisfaction or not. As a result of this analysis, it was established that leader-member exchange had an mediating role on the effect of workplace loneliness and job and life satisfaction.
