A detailed examination of the literature on entrepreneurship in Turkey reveals numerous studies conducted in the recent years. Entrepreneurship is an important issue in such countries as Turkey, whose population largely consists of young people. There is no doubt that entrepreneurship activities will gain a momentum in Turkey in view of Turkey's accession process to European Union. Therefore, research aiming to study the entrepreneurship characteristics which affect the entrepreneurship tendencies of individuals will ultimately be beneficial in identifying the entrepreneurship profile in Turkey. With this regard, we have studied the personal characteristics of university students, who are prospective entrepreneurs, affecting their entrepreneurship tendencies. To this end, we have conducted a comparative study about the effects of personal characteristics of students enrolled at Adnan Menderes University, Faculty of Economic and Administrative Sciences on their entrepreneurship tendencies. © International Economic Society.
