Abstract

Non-cholesteatomatous chronic otitis media complicated with suppurative labyrinthitis Objectives: Acute suppurative labyrinthitis is an intracranial complication of otitis media characterized by symptoms and findings, such as vertigo, tinnitus, nystagmus and hearing loss. The widespread use of antibiotics has significantly reduced the incidence. It is usually seen in the presence of cholesteatomatous chronic otitis media, although it is very rarely seen with non-cholesteatomatous chronic otitis media.
