Abstract

This study was carried to determine the quantitative effects of light and temperature on growth parameters of maize. Five different sowing dates were evaluated as experimental subjets. Experimental desing was randomised plots arrangement with three replications. Effects of light and temperature on growing parameters of maize (such as; leaf area, relative root weight, relative leaf weight, relative leaf area, specific leaf area, net assimilation ratio and relative growth rate) were analyzed. Multiple Regression Analysis of data were transferred to mathematical models and the models were expressed as 3D graphs. These models enable the researchers to predetermine the yield at 200-2000 Mmol/m(2)/s light intensity and 2-40 degrees C air temperature ranges.
