Abstract

This study covers the flora of the area between Amasya Castle and the villages of Vermiş, and Yuvacik. In 1994, 670 plant specimens were collected in the study area and examined. At the end of the study, 75 families, 287 genera and 412 species were determined. The total number of taxa was found to be and 412 species were determined. The total number of taxa was found to be 420, 46 (10.95%) of which are endemic. The distribution rates of the specimens into phytogeographical regions are as follows: Irano-Turanian, 15.71%: Mediterranean, 9.52%; and Euro-Siberian, 7.38%.
