Abstract

The title compound, C15H13NO4S, exhibits N-H center dot center dot center dot O and C-H center dot center dot center dot O hydrogen-bond interactions that generate S(5) and R-2(2)( 9) ring motifs arranged as molecular chains along the c axis. The phthalide part of the molecule is planar and is inclined by 67.66 (12)degrees to the substituted aromatic ring.
