Due to the very short duration of the Devret Höyük (North-Central Anatolia) excavation and some illicit digging damage, it was a difficult task to understand and date the stratigraphy in a consistent manner. Although introductory publications had been made on the Early Bronze Age levels (I-III), the last two levels (IV-V) were not well known. Following the first publications, the radiocarbon data obtained from the graves and the date range provided by these data necessitated some revisions in the dating of the mound. In order to contribute to this revision and to discuss the first phase of the settlement development, this article has been written. Of course, it was not possible to analyze all the finds in one article. For this reason, it is preferable to present small finds with special features, such as a bone idol, a fragment of a marble bracelet, a terracotta earplug, a dog and a human figurine with a pawn body. This group was also chosen because of its specific and comparable characteristic elements. Although the finds are dominated by local elements, it is clear that they indicate complex uses beyond everyday life, such as prestige and symbolic/religious use.
