The aim of this study is to evaluate the healthy lifestyle behaviours of 15-49 aged married women and effective factors on it in the district of 6 Numbered Primary Health Care Center. This descriptive study was carried out in the district of 6 Numbered Primary Health Care Center between April-May 2006. The study group was consist of 130 15-49 aged married women who were agree to take part in the study. For this purpose, "Healthy promoting lifestyle inventory" and questionnaire were used. The data were evaluated by using SPSS and analyzed with mean, standart deviation, t test, Kruskal Wallis Test, Mann-Whitney U test. It was found out that women included in this study were generally at medium level (124.75±24.51), as regard to promotion of health dealing with health behaviours, and that the highest mean score was self-actualization (37.6±6.0) and the lowest mean score was exercise (8.3±2.8). There was no statistically significant correlation between self-actualization, interpersonal support, stres management and individual features. Also it was found that increased behaviour health promotion lifestyle related to health as decrease child number and high level of income. The results of the study showed that, there are no statistical significant relationships between age, level of education and chronic disease with health lifestyle behaviour of women. The study suggests that it is advisable to prepare training programs on Healthy Lifestyle Behaviours of women to increase the level of knowledge.
