Abstract

Whole cell proteins of eight A. sobria strains isolated from the faeces of Turkish Van cat, chicken, gull and intestinal contents of Rainbow trout were analyzed by SDS-PAGE. 28 pairs were formed by comparing each strain; six strains were identical (21.4%), nineteen uncertain (67.9%) and three were different (10.7%). The strains from A. sobria phenotypic species were assigned to sub-groups of A. sobria species. We concluded that SDS-PAGE can be useful technique for epidemiological characterization of A. sobria.
