Synthesis and Reactivity in Inorganic and Metal-Organic Chemistry, vol.29, no.3, pp.473-485, 1999 (SCI-Expanded)
A straightforward and generalizable synthesis of metal-free (H2) and metal derivatives (M = Ni, Co or Zn) of a symmetrically tetrasubstituted phthalocyanine derived from tetrathiooxaphthalonitrile is described. All of these complexes were insoluble in common solvents such as DMF, chloroform, ethanol and water. Structures are suggested based on elemental analyses, IR, NMR (only for intermadiates (I), (II) and (III)), UV-Vis spectroscopy and thermogravimetric analysis.
