Abstract

In the title compound, C16H16N2O.H2O, the azobenzene moiety has a trans configuration, and the two phenyl rings are inclined with respect to each other by 14.23 (17)degrees. There are intermolecular O-H...O and O-H...N hydrogen bonds involving the water molecule.
