Abstract
Kaygusuz Abdal is a dervish who lived in Anatolia in the XIV-XV. century. Being an important section of the social structure Kaygusuz Abdal, always tried to express feelings of his society with his poems and proses. He has attracted the attention of a number poets and writers as a narrative and symbolic style in Turkish literature. Kaygusuz Abdal through his poetry - Simatiye-has reflected the community's thoughts and feelings. Simatiye committed on different subjects on the basis of food culture. However for the first time simatiye by Kaygusuz dealt with in this article has emerged an example of this style as the first poetry.
