Art education is an important tool for raising awareness about the environment and nature, providing students with complementary competencies and aiming towards environmental sustainability goals. Children are not sufficiently stimulated and aware of designs that they are not involved in and are not used to seeing. It is aimed to teach topics such as environment, climate, recycling to primary school students and to raise awareness about nature. In this direction, it covers the project carried out in the Spring Semester of 2022-2023 within the scope of the Community Service Practices course taken by the students of Ondokuz Mayıs University Faculty of Education, Department of Fine Arts Education, Department of Painting and Business Teaching in the eighth semester. In this context, with the participation of the coordinators and undergraduate students, the traditional activities in the Community Service Practices course have been departed from. Pre-service teachers came together with children who were interested in painting, determined by the school administration, and carried out activities. After various activities with children on nature and environmental awareness, children were given opportunities to paint and these paintings were applied on the interior and exterior facades of the school together with the children. In this way, children who saw the reflections of their own designs on the walls of the school continued their education as nature ambassadors about the environment they grasped through art. In this article, it is aimed to present the reflections on nature and environment in children's paintings and the positive effects of these activities in accordance with the visual phenomenological design. In addition, the experiences of the researchers are also conveyed to add depth to the subject.
