Abstract

The crystal structure of the title compound, C18H12N2O, is stabilized by intermolecular N-H (...) O hydrogen bonds and C-H (...) pi interactions. N-H (...) O hydrogen bonds generate a C( 6) chain. The dihedral angle between the isoindoline group and the naphthalene ring system is 24.96 (12)degrees.
