Özet

Geographic Information Systems (GIS) have emerged as a critical tool in modern land management, offering sophisticated methods for collecting, analyzing, and visualizing spatial data. In a rapidly changing world marked by urban expansion, environmental degradation, and resource scarcity, GIS provides invaluable support in managing land and natural resources across multiple domains, including urban planning, agriculture, environmental conservation, and infrastructure development. The complexity of land management requires efficient,data-driven approaches that enable policymakers, urban planners, and environmentalists to make informed decisions that balance development needs with sustainability goals. This paper examines the importance of GIS in land management, highlighting its broad array of applications, benefits, and transformative impact on the way land resources are utilized and protected. The use of GIS in land management enhances the capacity to address complex, multifaceted issues, ensuring that land resources are used efficiently and sustainably. As the demand for resilient infrastructure, climate-smart agriculture, and sustainable urban development increases, GIS will continue to be an indispensable tool in shaping land management practices that support environmental sustainability, economic growth, and social well-being. The future of land management will increasingly depend on GIS technologies, which offer the ability to balance development objectives with the need to preserve and protect the planet's finite natural resources for future generations.
