Abstract

In the title compound, 2C(5)H(8)N(3)(+)center dot C2O22-center dot 2H(2)O, the 2,6-diaminopyridinium ions are linked to centrosymmetric oxalate ions and water molecules through N-H center dot center dot center dot O and O-H center dot center dot center dot O hydrogen bonds, generating edge-fused [R-2(1)(6)R-1(2)(5)R-2(2)(9)R-4(2)(8)R-6(6)(17)] motifs.
