Abstract

BACKGROUND: Perinatal inflammation combined with hypoxia-ischemia (HO exacerbates injury in the developing brain. Therapeutic hypothermia (HT) is standard care for neonatal encephalopathy; however, its benefit in inflammation-sensitized HI (IS-HI) is unknown.
