Abstract

This study is a questionnaire designed for the Basic Mathematics carried out in class teacher department applied to the 320 student teachers attending to the class teacher department of Amasya Education Faculty. This study aims to determine the views of the students and their learning level of concepts about the subject. Therefore, two tables were given to the students in this study. In the first table there are questions about the views on Basic Mathematics and in the second table questions about both if there is a parallelism with these views and also to measure the learning level of the some concepts in Basic Mathematics. Some of the concepts or the expressions interpreting these concepts given in the second table are true and some of them are false. The evaluation of both these tables indicate that the students do not have enough qualification for the subject, the level of concept learning is not generally at an adequate level and there is no exact positive parallelism between the to tables.
