The present study is a mixed methods research in which qualitative and quantitative data are collected at the same time. In this study, in which the metaphorical perceptions of teachers and individuals in different professions towards the concept of teacher were revealed, 263 participants werereached. The quantitative data in the study were collected by using Teacher Metaphor Scale. TeacherMetaphor Scale is a 5-likert type scale which has 19 items and three factors. In the qualitative partof the study, a form was developed by the researchers in order to collect data through metaphors.Data was collected online. According to the qualitative data, it was determined that the images ofteachers regarding their metaphorical perception towards the concept of teacher were collected indifferent and more categories than individuals working in other professions. It has been revealedthat the metaphorical perceptions of teachers as individuals from the profession are richer. Individuals working in other professions have developed less metaphorical images towards the concept ofteacher. When the quantitative findings are examined, it has been revealed that the metaphoricalperception levels of the teachers regarding the meanings they attribute to teachers are higher thanthe individuals working in other professions.
