Abstract

The internal anatomy of the maxillary lateral incisor is well recognized and usually presents with one root and one root canal system. This case report describes the root canal treatment of a maxillary lateral incisor with two distinct root canal systems, demonstrated by digital radiography and cone beam computed tomography. The success of root canal treatment depends on accurate diagnosis and treatment of anatomical variations regarding root canal number and configuration.
