Türkiye’de yükseköğretim sisteminin tarihi incelendiğinde son yıllarda büyük çapta nicel değişikliklerin gerçekleştiği gözlenmektedir. Diğer taraftan, söz konusu nicel gelişmelerle oldukça geniş kitlelerle irtibatlı olduğu görülen yükseköğretim sisteminin bir dizi kalıcı sorunla karşı karşıya olduğu bir problem durumu olarak dikkate alınmalıdır. Bu çalışmayla yükseköğretimin tarihsel süreç içerisinde hangi temel değişiklikleri barındırdığı ve nasıl bir nicel değişimin gerçekleştiği incelenirken konu yükseköğretimin kalıcı sorunları ile sınırlandırılmıştır. Çalışmanın amacı, Yükseköğretimin geçmişten bugüne uzanan sorunlarını, bugünün verileri doğrultusunda açığa kavuşturarak görece önemli olduğu düşünülen bu sorunların dikkate alınması yoluyla yükseköğretimi iyileştirmek adına gelecekte daha olumlu adımların atılabilmesine katkı sağlamaktır.
When the history of the higher education system in Turkey is examined, it is observed that massive quantitative changes have been realized in recent years. On the other hand, it should be considered as a problematic situation that the higher education system, which is seen to be connected to a very large amount of quantitative developments, faces a series of permanent problems. While this study examines higher education which has basic changes occured in the historical process and how quantitative changes take place, the issue limited to permanent problems of higher education. The aim of the study is to show the problems of higher education from past to today and to contribute to the improvement of higher education in the future by considering relatively important problems.
