Özet

The aim of this study is to investigate Boli Khela wrestling, which is the traditional wrestling of Bangladesh, and to determine its relation with some international wrestling. A literature review was made and some video recordings were watched. Boli Khela means the game of strong peers. It is the traditional wrestling of Bangladesh. Boli Khela is characterized by a high degree of physical skill. The muscular strength, physical strength and techniques in a particular performance situation define this traditional game. The wrestling includes grappling techniques such as throwing/throwing and knocking down, joint locks, and various holding grips. This wrestling is usually performed on special days and holidays such as New Year celebrations in Bengal. The use of various musical instruments such as drums and flutes increases the intensity of the wrestling match and promotes the event. The eliminations are like mat wrestling. Wrestling, which aims to raise awareness of the public, is a wrestling worth seeing among the audience today. It is generally similar to Asian continental wrestling. Elimination forms of mat wrestling are adopted. Some techniques of this wrestling can be adapted to mat wrestling.
