In the present study, susceptibilities of 50 Mycobacterium tuberculosis strains isolated from clinical specimens have been investigated for isoniasid (H), rifampicin (R), streptomycin (S) and ethambutol (E) by using proportion method. Forty-five of the M.tuberculosis strains (90%) were found to be susceptible to all of the tested drugs. However, each of 5 resistant strains showed 5 different resistance patterns as follows; resistance to isoniasid alone, to ethambutol alone, to rifampicin+ethambutol, to isoniasid+rifampicin+ethambutol and to isoniasid+streptomycin+ethambutol. As a result, the resistance rates were detected as; 8% for ethambutol, 6% for isoniasid, 4% for rifampicin and 2% for streptomycin.
