Tularemia, a zoonotic disease, has been increasingly diagnosed in Turkey during recent years. A 31 years old woman, living in rural area, who had undergone a diagnostic axillary lymphadenectomy due to fever, chills and swelling in axillar region was evaluated with a pathologic diagnosis of necrotizing lymphadenitis. Clinical and laboratory investigation revealed ulceroglandular tularemia. The present case was the first case reported from Tokat region. The possibility of tularemia should be considered in patients presented with lymphadenopathy and specific diagnostic tests should be done.
