Özet

Drug reactions are the most common iatrogenic diseases which have many clinical and histopathological subtypes. Toxic epidermal necrolysis (TEN), erythema multiforme, and fixed drug eruptions are dangerous forms of drug reactions which resemble each other clinically. The use of corticosteroids in toxic epidermal necrolysis remains controversial. We reported an 18-month-old girl with TEN who was treated with high-dose methylprednisolone and antibiotherapy. She healed gradually in three weeks' time without complication. In this report, we recommend corticosteroid usage in the treatment of TEN.
