Women’s Breastfeeding Experiences During Pregnancy and Thoughts on Tandem Breastfeeding: A Cross-Sectional Study

Özet
This cross-sectional study was conducted between January 2023 and February 2024 to determine women’s breastfeeding experiences during pregnancy and their thoughts about tandem breastfeeding in Türkiye. It was found that 53.4% of the women participating in the study breastfed their infants for a certain period during pregnancy, while 25.7% of the women planned to tandem breastfeed. In addition, the results indicated that breastfeeding during pregnancy was affected by the status of obtaining information about breastfeeding during pregnancy and the idea that breastfeeding during pregnancy was harmful to the woman, fetus, and infant, while tandem breastfeeding was affected by employment status.
