The aim of this research was to establish whether the dietary preferences of perch (Perca fluviatilis L., 1758) change due to age and the seasons. Food items were examined by the Geometric Index of Importance (GII) method. The results obtained from this index were also evaluated in relation to seasonal and age-dependent variables.
