In the title compound, C16H17NO4, the dihedral angle between benzene rings is 72.7 (2)degrees. The methoxy groups are rotated by 2.4 (2) and -4.9 (2) (benzilidene moiety) and by 5.6 (3)degrees (aniline moiety) relative to the adjacent benzene ring. In the crystal, the molecules are linked into chains along [101] through C-H center dot center dot center dot O and O-H center dot center dot center dot N hydrogen bonds.
