Abstract

This study was carried out in Ordu provinces of the Black Sea Region in 2006-2008. SE 3-12, SE 21-2, SE 21-9, 552-8, 556-8 genotypes and 'Marigoule' cultivar were used. The periods of bud swelling, bud burst, male and female flowering stages, nut ripening, leaf fall were observed. Relationships between these phenological traits and climatic conditions were investigated. In the present study, pollenizer characteristics of chestnut genotypes are also discussed.
