Özet

The accelerating integration of artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning, predictive analytics and big-data infrastructures into social work, social welfare and human services has generated a fast-growing yet fragmented body of scholarship. This chapter offers a bibliometric account of that literature, mapping 248 records retrieved from the Web of Science (WoS) Core Collection at the intersection of three conceptual clusters: AI and automation; social work and welfare; and the critical vocabulary of surveillance, digital welfare, algorithmic governance and algorithmic bias. Using a reproducible Python pipeline, the study analyses annual production, document and language profiles, citation indices, subject categories, geographic and institutional contributions, source dispersion (via a Bradford-style zoning), authorship patterns, citation topics and alignment with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
