Abstract

Priapism is a rare, but serious, side effect of psychotropic medications. Psyctropic medication-induced priapism is believed to be caused by the alpha-adrenergic antagonism of these medications. I report here on a case of priapism caused by risperidone (2 mg/day) in addition to sertraline (200 mg/day) treatment in a 24 year-old man with obsessive compulsive disorder.
