Abstract

A combination of photoelectron and vibrational spectroscopies has established that a high energy formate species generated at a Pb(110)-surface is tilted with respect to the surface normal and decomposes spontaneously through H-bonding interactions with HCOOH(g) at 295 K. © 1992 J.C.
