Abstract
The structure of the title compound, C14H10ClNO2, is stabilized by N-H center dot center dot center dot O, C-H center dot center dot center dot pi and pi-pi interactions. The phthalide part of the molecule is planar and the dihedral angle between the phthalide group and the benzene ring is 75.58 (15)degrees.
