The purpose of this study is to examine the attitude of the fourth graders of the Education Faculty and Yaşar Doğu Physical Education and Sports Department towards history lesson and history on the basis of departments and sexes. The population of this study in randomly chosen 752 fourth graders attending Ondokuz Mayıs University Education and Sports Department in the Academic year of 2004-2005 in the study. History Attitude scale consisting of 20 items has been used so as to obtain data. Under the light of the findings in the study, it has been found out that the attitude of the students towards history lesson does not make any difference on the basis of their departments, but it makes difference on the basis of their sex.
Bu çalışmanın amacı, Eğitim Fakültesi ve Beden Eğitimi ve Spor Yüksek Okulu son sınıfta okuyan öğretmen adaylarının tarih dersine ve tarihe yönelik tutumlarını bölümler bazında ve cinsiyete göre incelemektir. Çalışmanın örneklemini, Ondokuz Mayıs Üniversitesi Samsun Eğitim Fakültesi ve Beden Eğitimi ve Spor Yüksek Okulu’nda 2004-2005 öğretim yılında öğretimlerine devam eden son sınıf öğrencilerinden random (şans) yoluyla seçilen 752 öğretmen adayı oluşturmuştur. Çalışmada veri toplama aracı olarak 20 maddeden oluşan tarih tutum ölçeği kullanılmıştır. Araştırma bulgularına göre öğretmen adaylarının tarih dersine yönelik tutumları bölümlere göre değişmemekte ancak cinsiyete göre farklılık göstermektedir.
