This study aims to review the emergency remote teaching process based on the views and experiences of instructors in the higher education institutes, and to create a guideline for higher education institutes to provide technology enhanced learning environments in the post-pandemic. The study was designed as a case study. The participants of the study were consisted of 27 instructors who were from 8 different higher education institutes in Turkey. The primary data of the study was collected through a survey. The survey was 4 sub-sections with 25 questions including 9 openended and 16 closed-ended questions. As a result of the study, the emergency remote teaching supported to experience online distance education with new technologies and methods, and the instructors plan to use these new technologies and methods in the post-pandemic. Administrative support was also mentioned as an important issue. Therefore, the higher education institutes should provide administrative support to be ready with teaching in alternative learning environments.
