Abstract:

Constructivism, XX. is one of the most important movements of the century. It is an industrial art movement that has been influential in architecture, gothic design, sculpture and painting, which means structuralism and construction. Constructivism, which designs for mass production, has created a new utopia. It emerged in Russia after the First World War. It is suitable for the political, social and economic structure of Constructivism, which contains the functionality, pursued an art goal for the society. In this way, the design of the products to be made available to the public was put into practice because it will be possible to meet the needs of the developing technology industry with a new understanding of art. That's why, thanks to constructivism, an important path has been covered in the way of design. Constructivism practices have contributed to many fields. Through these applications, unique achievements have been achieved in history in the field of design, painting and architecture. As well as in the fields of architecture, painting and sculpture, the most concrete examples of this are seen in the basic design elements such as point, line, form-form, texture, rhythm, movement, balance, especially in the Basic Design Courses in the Fine Arts Education Departments. On applications of the students of Art Education of Fine Arts Education Departments, it can be seen the effect of some constructivist artists' works such as geometrical and mathematical forms of Aleksander Mikhailovich Rodchenk, of Viladimir Tatlin's Utopiasone, of Piet Mondrian's color research and geometric forums. In this study, the aim is to focus on the contribution of the Constructivism Art Understanding to the Basic Design Workshop Courses in the Fine Arts Education Departments.
