Abstract:

In the developing and changing world, the text-centric approaches have concentrated on Tv, cinema and internet thanks to technology. In this change and development, for the purpose of examining how and in which way culture is used and for which goal it serves, the series ' Diriliş Ertuğrul' which began to be broadcast in TRT on December, 10 2014 will be studied. The use of folklore in the series has been handled according to the classification of Sedat Veyis Örnek. Folklore is the discipline that compiles cultural elements of the people and evaluates and classifies them in a unique way. Considering this definition, necessary determinations, classifications, examinations and analyzes were made. The reason why the series ' Diriliş Ertuğrul ' has been studied in terms of fokloric examination is because it has been inspired by the Turkish history and is because TRT productions are rich in Turkish folk culture elements. Four chapters in this first part of the study of film and television development in Turkey and briefly discusses the subject index. In the second part of the study, the folklore elements used in the series are included. In the third part of the study, intertextual elements used in the series are mentioned. In the fourth part of the study, shamanistic elements used in the series are discussed. Because we encounter a state belonging to the belief in shamanism; Mongolians. The Mongols were influenced by the Turkish belief system because they lived under Turkish domination for a long time. Keywords: Folklore, Culture, Subtextuality, Cultural transfer.
