Assoc. Prof. Alper Bodur

Biography

Alper Bodur graduated from the Istanbul Technical University (ITU) Department of Architecture in 2003. By his will, he completed his military service in 2004 at the 7th Gendarmerie Commando Battalion Command (Sason-Batman). He completed the "Disaster and Emergency Management Master Program" in 2008 at ITU and the "Urban Systems and Transportation Management Master Program" in 2012 at Bahçeşehir University. He finished the "Building Sciences Doctorate Program" in 2017 at ITU. He graduated from "The Foreign Affairs Undergraduate Program" in 2020, "The Justice Programme (Associate)," in 2022, and the "Disaster and Emergency Management Program (Associate)" at Anadolu University in 2024.

He worked at Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality from November 2004 to May 2011 and at ISKI from June 2011 to February 2018 at different levels (control supervisor, chief, branch manager, etc.). Alper is an Associate Professor at the Department of Architecture, 19 Mayıs University. ​He continues his research in building sciences, fire safety, disaster management, quality management in buildings and environments, and housing satisfaction.
