Prof. Enes Atmaca

Prof.Dr. Enes Atmaca was born on July 21, 1983, in Bafra, Samsun, Turkey. After completing his primary and secondary education in Bafra, he graduated from Ankara University, Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, in 2006. He began his academic career the same year at Ondokuz Mayıs University, Institute of Health Sciences, where he completed his Ph.D. in Veterinary Pharmacology and Toxicology in 2012. He continued to work as an associate professor in the Department of Pharmacology and Toxicology of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine of the same university between 2019-2025 and as a professor since 2025.

In addition to his teaching and research duties, Dr. Atmaca has held various academic and administrative positions, including Deputy Director of the Institute of Health Sciences (2015-2016), Member of the OMU Animal Experiments Local Ethics Committee (since 2021), Member of the Faculty Board and Administrative Board of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine (2021-2024), Board Member of the OMU Hemp Research Institute (2020-2023), Member of the Faculty Board and Administrative Board of the Faculty of Pharmacy (2021-2024), and Member of the OMU Quality Commission (2022-2024).

Prof. Dr. Enes ATMACA has published 30 articles in journals indexed in SCI-E, 9 articles in journals indexed in TR Dizin and other national journals, presented over 30 papers at national and international conferences, and authored chapters in national and international books indexed in SCI. He has served as a reviewer for various SCI and TR-Dizin journals and as an evaluator for research projects. Dr. Atmaca has participated in 15 nationally funded projects as a principal investigator or researcher.

In 2010, as part of the OMU 1922-Long-Term International Scientific Visit Program, he received training on DNA damage analysis at Nicolaus Copernicus University in Poland. In 2018, he participated in the Erasmus Teaching Mobility Program at the Department of Veterinary Medicine (DIMEVET), Universita degli Studi di Milano, Italy.

Prof. Dr. Enes Atmaca is married and has a son named Uraz.
