Erdem Küçüktopçu was born on August 28, 1986 in Çumra, Konya. After completing secondary school and high school in Karaman, he graduated from Kocaeli University, Karamürsel Maritime Vocational School, Shipbuilding Programme in 2005. In 2012, he graduated as the top student from the Faculty of Agriculture at Kahramanmaraş Sütçü İmam University and then started his academic career as a research assistant in the Department of Biosystems Engineering at the same university (2013-2014).
He then completed his master's degree (2014-2016) and doctoral studies (2016-2021) in the Department of Agricultural Structures and Irrigation at Ondokuz Mayıs University, Faculty of Agriculture. On June 19, 2023, he was awarded the title of Associate Professor in the field of Agricultural Structures and Irrigation by the Inter-University Council (UAK).
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Erdem Küçüktopçu has published a total of 27 research articles in SCI and SCI-Expanded indexed journals, 22 of them in Q1-Q2 category, as well as 13 research articles in other indexed journals and 25 national and international conference papers.
