Prof. Hüseyin Akgün

Biography

He was born in Krefeld, Germany in 1971. He graduated from Marmara University Faculty of Divinity in 1996. He applied for a postgraduate degree at Sakarya University Social Sciences Institute with his thesis named "The Geographical Dispersion of Sahāba" in 1999 and was accepted as a doctoral student for Marmara University Social Sciences Institute, Hadith discipline, in the same year. In 2005, he completed his doctoral thesis titled "Ibn al-Qattān’s Point of View About Hadith".

From 2011 to 2015, he worked as an Assistant Professor at the University of Kahramanmaras. Later, he was employed at Amasya University from 2015 to 2017. Since 2017, he has been working as a Professor at Ondokuz Mayis University in the Department of Hadith. He has a good command of German and Arabic languages.
