My name is Mehmet Sait Kiremit. I have been working as
a Dr. Research Assistant at Ondokuz Mayıs University, Faculty of Agriculture,
Department of Agricultural Structures and Irrigation since December 2013. I
completed my Ph.D. in February 2023 and currently work as a Ph.D. in the same
department. My Ph.D. thesis focused on studying the effects of different
groundwater depths and salinity on evapotranspiration, yield, quality, and
antioxidant enzymes of wheat. My research has been focused on the following areas;

Impacts of irrigation water salinity on soil quality
and crops.
·
Crop water productivity (water use efficiency)
·
Evapotranspiration (Water balance, weighing lysimeters,
pot and column experiment)
·
Fundamentals of variable rate irrigation and
fertigation
·
Impacts of shallow groundwater depth and salinity on
soil quality
·
Impacts of the groundwater contribution to crop water
use.
·
Measurement and modeling of soil moisture dynamics
·
Impacts of plant growth regulators on seed
germination, yield, and morpho-physiological of the crops.
·
Mathematical modeling and optimization (response
surface methodology)
