Assoc. Prof. Melda Genç

Melda Genç graduated from the Department of Ceramics at Hacettepe University Faculty of Fine Arts in 2004. She received her Master’s degree in 2009 from the Middle East Technical University, Faculty of Architecture, Department of Industrial Design, with her thesis titled “The History and Current State of Toilet Design.” In 2013, she completed her Proficiency in Art degree at Hacettepe University Faculty of Fine Arts, Department of Ceramics, with the study “Nature, Art, and Biomimetic Science.”

Between 2009 and 2013, she worked as a Research Assistant at Hacettepe University Faculty of Fine Arts, Department of Ceramics. From 2013 to 2025, she taught courses in Architecture, Interior Architecture, and City and Regional Planning at Ondokuz Mayıs University Faculty of Architecture. Since 2023, she has also been teaching in the Department of Industrial Design at the Faculty of Fine Arts as part of a temporary assignment (13b).

Genç is currently an Associate Professor in the Department of Ceramics at the Faculty of Fine Arts, continuing her academic and artistic work in the fields of Industrial Design and Ceramic Art.
