Assoc. Prof. Meryem Vural Batık

Biography

She graduated from Ondokuz Mayıs University Psychological Counseling and Guidance undergraduate program in 2006. She completed her master's degree in the field of Psychological Counseling and Guidance at Uludağ University in 2010 and her doctorate in the same field at Ondokuz Mayıs University in 2017. After working as a psychological counselor for 5 years in schools affiliated to the Ministry of National Education, she started to work as an lecturer in Ondokuz Mayıs University Special Education Department in 2010. She received the title of associate professor in the field of Psychological Counseling and Guidance in 2021. Her areas of interest are marriage and couple counseling and family counseling in special education, and she has researches on romantic relationships, marital relationships, forgiveness and resilience.
