Elif Merve Helvacı was born in 1997 in Samsun, Türkiye. She completed her undergraduate education with honors in the Department of Nutrition and Dietetics at the Faculty of Health Sciences, Ondokuz Mayıs University, in 2019. In the same year, she started her master’s studies at the Department of Neuroscience, Institute of Health Sciences, Ondokuz Mayıs University, and successfully completed them in 2023. She is currently pursuing her PhD studies in the same department and working as a Research Assistant in Neuroscience.Her research interests include nutrition in multiple sclerosis, the gut–brain axis, gut microbiota, and neuroimmune interactions. Within the scope of her academic studies, she has conducted research activities in Germany and North Macedonia through the Erasmus+ program. She is also supported by the TÜBİTAK 2211 National Doctoral Scholarship.Helvacı has presented her work at numerous national and international congresses and symposiums, and she has published articles in SCI-indexed journals as well as authored a book chapter in her field.
