Biography

Mehmet Cetin, Prof. Dr., OMÜ, Dean of Faculty of Architecture, Department of City and Regional Planning, Department of Landscape Architecture, Faculty of Architecture, Ondokuz Mayis University, Samsun, Turkey. He is currently engaged in teaching courses and conducting research projects at Ondokuz Mayis University. He instructs 10 courses at the bachelor's, Master's, and Doctoral levels. He has supervised 6 PhD and 20 Master's Theses. He has led 2 international projects and 5 national projects. His research interests include the monitoring and evaluation of ecological environmental indicators, landscape ecology, landscape planning and management, GIS, landscape architecture, urban planning, city management, urban design, recycling, plants, landscape engineering, environmental engineering, air quality, land usage, climate change, climatology, environmental change, adaptation strategies, risk management, remote sensing, satellite-based approaches, city planning, landscape planning and management, air pollution, air quality, and environmental pollution.

He has authored 120 peer-reviewed articles in SSCI, SCI, and SCI-Expanded journals, along with 100 peer-reviewed articles in scientific journals. Additionally, he has written 1 e-book textbook and contributed to 22 international book chapters. He has actively participated in 101 conferences.
